4Additional guidelines

Focus

  • Submissions must directly address the ethical implications of artificial intelligence in the participant's chosen healthcare domain.

Originality and integrity

  • Do not submit plagiarized work, copied scripts, unauthorized reproductions or another person's work presented as your own.
  • Fabricated references, invented research results, misleading clinical claims, unauthorized use of patient information and deceptive manipulation of evidence are prohibited.
  • The organizers may use appropriate originality checks and may ask for clarification about authorship or the use of third-party material.
  • Substantiated plagiarism, fraudulent authorship, deliberate misrepresentation or serious violations of these requirements may result in disqualification.

Professional conduct

  • Submissions must maintain strict professional and ethical standards, avoiding political, communal or discriminatory commentary, hate speech and content that incites conflict.

Files and deadline

  • Follow the submission instructions provided by the organizers exactly.
  • Make sure your files are complete, accessible and playable or readable by the judging panel.
  • The submission deadline is November 8, 2026, at 12:00 noon US Central Time. Participants are responsible for submitting before the deadline.
  • Late, incomplete, corrupted, inaccessible or incorrectly submitted entries may not be considered.
  • The organizers may reject duplicate entries and entries that do not comply with the published requirements.

Patient information and personal data

  • The organizers will not knowingly authorize the public release of identifiable patient information without an appropriate lawful basis and the necessary permissions.
  • Personal information collected during registration and submission is used for competition administration, eligibility verification, judging, communication and award disbursement, as applicable.

Changes to the competition

  • The organizers reserve the right to make necessary administrative changes, modify the program or cancel the competition where circumstances beyond their reasonable control require it. Material changes affecting eligibility, scoring, deadlines or awards will be communicated to participants through official channels.

5Publication and social-media promotion

  • Participants must not publish their video or written submission on personal or other public platforms. AIH will publish entries on its official social-media accounts, and participants may then share those official posts within their networks.
  • Social-media marks are awarded only for engagement on the official posts published by AIH. Engagement on personal posts, reposts or any other secondary posts is not counted.
  • The organizers may publish eligible entries, excerpts or promotional materials on official channels during a designated engagement period. Engagement outside that period does not count.
  • Purchased engagement, automated activity, fake accounts, coordinated artificial engagement, engagement exchanges and any other attempt to manipulate scoring are prohibited.
  • The organizers may exclude demonstrably fraudulent engagement and may disqualify entries for material or deliberate manipulation.

6Evaluation

  1. Initial review. The organizing team reviews every entry. Entries with gross errors or rule violations are rejected and excluded from publication and judging.
  2. Two assessments. The video is assessed on social-media engagement, content quality and presentation effectiveness. The written submission is evaluated independently by a judging panel through blinded assessment, to minimize bias.
  3. Weighting. Social-media engagement and the quality of the written submission carry significant weight in the final score.
  4. Decisions. The decisions of the judges are final.
